Cervical Traction

Home Cervical Traction

Your Neck Should Have a Curve in the Right Direction

Cervical Traction when performed correctly can reduce a great amount of stress and tension a patient may be experiencing in the cervical spine or neck.

This technique helps treat patients who may have been in a car accident or other recent trauma, along with someone who may be required to sit for extended periods of time at a desk.

The neck is made up of 7 vertebrae and if any single one of the joints between these vertebra is not functioning properly,

  • the result is pain, stiffness, and decreased motion.

The cervical traction unit helps hydrate the discs in the neck improving the nutrient flow to the disc and helps provide space between the bones, releasing potentially pinched nerves.

The traction unit will also help restore the normal curvature of the neck that is required to function properly.

Why Cervical Traction?

Untreated neck pain or injury to the neck can easily worsen and begin to spread to your upper back and shoulders. This could lead to chronic neck pain, nerve irritation, and decreased motion.

Cervical traction can be used to help:

  1. Neck disc bulge or herniation
  2. Muscle Spasms
  3. Ligament sprains
